The black Alurack top case carrier is designed for the BMW R 1200 GS (2004-2007). This top case carrier consists of a model-specific mounting kit and an Alurack adapter plate that can accommodate Hepco&Becker top cases or soft luggage (not suitable for top cases with universal plastic plates). Each Alurack top case carrier is specifically developed for the respective model and harmoniously integrates into the overall appearance of the motorcycle. Thanks to its construction from high-quality aluminum in combination with a steel base carrier, the Alurack offers high strength and an attractive appearance. Additional attachment points for luggage straps are integrated into the design of the rack, allowing secure attachment of items like luggage rolls. The basic structure consists of steel and an aluminum carrier plate. The delivery includes the model-specific Alurack top case carrier, a mounting kit, and an installation manual. No additional adapters for top case mounting are required. The Alurack features a high-quality surface finish and operates in a similar technical manner to the Easyrack top case carrier, with the difference that the bracket for top case mounting is rigidly positioned upward and cannot be folded down. The model-specific base carrier is identical for both the Easyrack and Alurack. To accommodate the Hepco&Becker Alu Standard Topcase 35, a special bracket is required instead of the standard Alurack bracket (item numbers: 700007350 or 700007351). Luggage carriers of this type generally do not require a General Operating Permit (ABE) or registration. The recommended payload is 5 kg (please note the model-specific instructions provided in the installation manual and the manufacturer's specifications). Heavy loads should generally not be carried in the top case but rather in the side cases or tank bag. The recommended maximum speed is 130 km/h. The Alurack top case carrier is designed for the motorcycle's stock condition and has not been tested with accessories such as exhaust systems, license plate holders, or other turn signals.
