The Hepco&Becker Alurack silver top case carrier for the BMW R 1200 GS (2008-2012) is an excellent choice for transporting a top case or soft luggage on your motorcycle, even if you don't have an original luggage rack. This carrier consists of a model-specific mounting kit and an Alurack adapter plate that allows you to attach Hepco&Becker top cases or soft luggage. Please note that this carrier is not suitable for top cases with universal plastic plates. Each Alurack top case carrier is developed specifically for the model to seamlessly integrate with the overall look of your motorcycle. It is constructed from high-quality aluminum combined with a steel base carrier, providing high strength and an appealing appearance. Additional attachment points for luggage straps, such as for securing luggage rolls, are integrated into the design of the rack. The base construction of this carrier is made of steel and an aluminum carrier plate. The package includes the model-specific Alurack top case carrier, the mounting kit, and an installation manual. No additional adapters for top case attachment are required. The carrier design features a high-quality surface finish. From a technical perspective, this carrier functions almost identically to the Easyrack top case carrier, with the difference that the bracket for top case attachment is fixed in an upward position and cannot be folded down. However, the model-specific base carrier for the Easyrack and Alurack is identical. Please note that a special bracket (item number: 700007350 or 700007351) is required to mount the Hepco&Becker Alu Standard top case 35 instead of the standard Alurack bracket. Carriers of this type generally do not require ABE (General Operating Permit) or registration. The recommended maximum load is 5 kg, and you should consider model-specific instructions, the provided installation manual, and the motorcycle manufacturer's specifications. It is generally recommended not to carry heavy luggage in the top case but in the side cases or a tank bag. The recommended maximum speed is 130 km/h. This carrier was designed for the motorcycle's stock condition and has not been tested with accessories such as exhaust systems, license plate holders, or other turn signals.
